Ben Nevis, mid May '04

On a super sunny day we climbed Ben Nevis from the top car-park in Glen Nevis, via the south-east ridge. There was generally very little snow about until we reached the summit plateau, where we found three snow buntings in residence:

And a closer view. There were two females teasing a male, but we didn't manage to get a shot of them together!



After leaving Ben Nevis we followed the arete towards Carn Mor Dearg, getting this view of the north face of the Ben.

After CMD we included Aonach Beag before descending into Glen Nevis, making a round of the local 4000 ft mountains.
